Where can I direct people now that the Energy Assistance Program (EAP) is limited to assisting with Power Saving Bonus applications?

The Victorian Energy Assistance Program is currently limited to only assisting people with the $250 Power Saving Bonus application. We are waiting for further funding before we can offer tailored advice to you over the phone. Please register your interest, so we can provide you with assistance when funding becomes available.

Australian Energy Foundation
, alongside Brotherhood of St Laurence, GV Community Energy and Uniting Vic Tas., is helping to deliver the Victorian Energy Assistance Program. We are a Government approved community organisation, and for over 20 years we have provided trusted independent energy advice.

We hope you can find some benefit from the information provided below.

Are you have trouble paying your energy bills?

Call your energy company and ask to speak to the Hardship or Resolutions Team. Ask three very important questions:

  • Are my concessions being applied?
  • Am I on your best offer?
  • What can you do to help me?

If your local council is one of our partner organisations, we may be able to offer you ongoing energy advice over the phone. Our Energy Advisors can provide you with a range of high-low or no-cost solutions. Check here to see if your council is onboard

At AEF, we have a range of energy efficiency webinars and events. Go to our website for free information on energy-related matters in English and other community languages.
