What is the Victorian Energy Assistance Program (EAP)?

LIMITED NOW (from July 2021) TO HELPING WITH THE $250 POWER SAVING BONUS APPLICATION.

This Victorian State Government program was a COVID-19 initiative and started in October 2020. It is for Victorians only, and is delivered by Brotherhood of Saint Laurence (BSL), Uniting and AEF.

Two elements to the program - (1) advice and assistance and (2) help applying for the $250 Power Saving Bonus (PSB).

Check to see the person lives in Victoria.
The program was reduced to only PSB help from July 2021. This help is ongoing until February 2022.

If you are having trouble paying your energy bills, want to lower your energy costs, or want to make your home warmer in winter or cooler in summer, this program is for you.

The Energy Assistance and Broker program (EAP) helps eligible Victorians save money on electricity and gas, and get advice on other energy issues, like making your home more efficient.

If eligible, our dedicated Energy Advisors can provide you with advice free and independent of energy companies.

AEF is just one partner delivering this program.

Support is available online and over-the-phone. The program information is available in up to 20 community languages. For financial counselling in other languages including Arabic, Mandarin, Hindi and Vietnamese.
If language is other-than-English, please provide as much detail as possible in the registration.
