How does a Home Energy Assessment work?

The Home Energy Assessment takes approximately 1.5-2 hours. It assesses the following areas:

        Construction materials

        Heating system

        Cooling system

        Lighting

        Hot water system

        Renewable energy sources

        Draughts

        Insulation

The assessor then provides a detailed report after the assessment with recommended improvements to the home to improve the energy rating. Mostly costs $300 to $500 but could be more for very large and double storey homes.
