How do I choose the right supplier?

Look for The Clean Energy Council (CEC) approved suppliers – they run two accreditation programs:

1. Clean Energy Council Accredited Installer

This program trains and accredits installers to ensure that solar power installations meet industry best practice standards. A CEC accreditation is the minimum needed for a solar installer and is necessary for you to claim the Federal Government’s solar rebate.

2. Approved Solar Retailer

Companies who have signed the Solar Retailer Code of Conduct are committed to responsible sales, marketing activities, and solar industry best practices. This is the highest solar accreditation currently available in Australia.

In addition, if you live in Victoria and would like to claim the Solar Homes rebate, your supplier must be a CEC-approved solar retailer.
